The water department began Unidirectional Flushing (UDF) on July 30th. UDF is an important maintenance process to clean and improve the carrying capacity of our water distribution system. By opening and closing pre-determined valves, staff are able to flush the main to remove any potential sediment build-up, which cleans the water main. Signs will be posted where flushing is occurring and notification flyers were sent out to those potentially affected.
